Our Purpose:

Our purpose is to develop our client’s natural talent while at the same time building skills that will be valuable to them for the rest of their life. All you need in life is a CHANCE, to be successful. JRP Long Island will give you all the tools necessary to be successful in the business. But it is up to you to utilize those tools to the fullest capacity. The client ultimately is responsible for their success in the business. Every client knows that what they put into it they will get out of it. And those clients that want to succeed, work very hard and usually accomplish their goals of being on TV, in magazines, or in movies.

Our Process:

When we are deciding to accept someone for this amazing opportunity, we also decide whether or not to work with their parents/guardians. We realize that the cooperation, assistance and emotional support of the family are critical to the success of a client. Our process is what the industry refers to as "an audition". For many of you, this is your very first audition. Congratulations on taking the first step. In this audition you will listen to a short seminar given by our executive director about our company and the business. Next each family will have an opportunity to have a one on one interview with one of our highly trained talent directors. The talent director will make their evaluation and decide if they would like to see the child go on camera to read a 1-3 line age appropriate commercial. This is how our staff analyzes how the child translates onto film, their confidence level, their memorization skills, their character, etc. After the audition is complete each family will leave with a packet of information about our company as well as a day and time for you to call us for your child’s results. The JRP staff will make selections based on availability or opening in a type cast (age, height, hair color, eye color and ethnicity), industry knowledge, interviewing skills, GPA (Grade Point Average), drive to succeed, performance on camera. Warning: The staff is going to be very HONEST about the person’s potential or LACK thereof. This feedback is not to hurt anyone’s feelings but should be taken as constructive criticism. However, the most important thing to remember when auditioning is there is no right or wrong way to do it, have FUN !! Bring your personality. Be yourself !! We want to see YOU!

When JRP Long Island works with a client, that person is seen and interviewed by top agents, managers, casting directors, and magazine booking editors from all over the country twice a month on Sundays. This being the case, development must include self-esteem, public speaking, interviewing skills, auditioning skills and proper goal setting - short and long term. Presentation is also important. It’s that first impression that can make or break you in this business. You should dress age appropriate, professional but trendy.

Marketing is a key ingredient to the success of our company and clientele. Our clients can literally book work right out of our office just by coming to the auditions and utilizing the tools we give you. On each audition our clients are seriously considered for television, commercials, feature films, fashion shows print work etc. Working in this industry is not based on a submission of photos. It requires meeting and networking with potential employers face to face. If you are currently in an acting program or an aspiring model represented by a local agency and wondering, "Why am I not working in this industry?" Marketing is the answer. This is what makes us unique and unlike any other company in the world .EXPOSURE !!!
